Please enjoy my images of deserts and mission style buildings, of cowboys and horses, cactus flowers and birds, of cats and dogs...Through my watercolors I'd like to show my enthusiasm for my new home in Arizona. 
I combine realistic portraiture with impressionistic interpretation, to express my respect for my subjects as well as my emotional response. On-site sketches and my own slides serve as references. 
My palette is dominated by the most transparent pigments and I like to use bold chiaroscuro to achieve paintings as brillant as the Arizona sunlight. Wind and dust of the desert pose another interesting challenge.For orders, commissions or comments, please contact me by
