There are more species in the order of Beetles than in any other order of the Animal kingdom.
My images are a tribute to the natural beauty of these often misunderstood creatures. I hope the viewers of this page come to like, and maybe respect and even study these fascinating insects.
I created these Collages from hundreds of photos of living Arizona beetles that I collected over three exciting seasons in beautiful deserts and mountain ranges. The images were identified with the help of experts, many of whom are world leaders in their fields.
My digital collection is the first step to a photographic field guide to Arizona Beetles that I plan to release within the next couple of years.
This Field Guide will show most common species but also some that are very rare in collections and have never been photographed before.
